No previous experience is needed

You do not need to be flexible, fit or familiar with Pilates before your first session. You will begin with simpler exercises and gradually add new elements at a comfortable pace. Eli will show you how to use the equipment, explain each exercise clearly and adapt the movements to your abilities.

Nothing has to be perfect. Eli will observe how you move, offer clear and supportive guidance, and help you understand how each exercise should feel in your body. If she uses hands-on corrections, she will always ask for your permission first.

“In my sessions, you never have to worry about being judged by the way you look or move. Pilates is not a competition. I want you to feel at ease and enjoy moving.”

Meet Eli

My name is Elizabete Ozola, but everyone calls me Eli. I am originally from Latvia and now live and work in Tallinn.

I first discovered Pilates as a teenager. I had scoliosis, and my physiotherapist suggested that I try Mat Pilates. What stayed with me most was how my body and mind felt during and after each class. With regular practice, my core became stronger, I developed a better awareness of my body and found a form of movement that helps me feel more grounded during stressful periods.

Before becoming a Pilates instructor, I worked as a beauty and massage therapist, so anatomy and working with the human body were already familiar to me. I decided to train as a Pilates instructor in 2023 while attending regular contemporary Pilates classes in Riga. Since then, I have taught hundreds of private and small-group sessions.

My desire to study classical Pilates in depth brought me from Riga to Tallinn. Here, I can train on authentic Gratz apparatus and study under Britt Normet. I love seeing how each person finds something meaningful in Pilates and becomes stronger and more confident through consistent practice.

Outside the studio, I enjoy reading, music quizzes, spending time with friends and going on long walks. For me, a good day also includes a cup of good tea and taking the time to notice the small, beautiful moments in everyday life.

What Britt’s guidance means

Britt observes Eli’s teaching practice and gives her regular feedback. Eli also continues her own training with Britt to deepen her understanding of the classical system and learn how to teach it with care and precision.

If a client has a serious injury, has recently undergone surgery or is living with a long-term health condition, Eli discusses the situation with Britt. When necessary, the studio will recommend a session with Britt or another suitable specialist.

“Eli is a highly dedicated Pilates instructor. Her commitment to gaining a thorough professional education brought her from Riga to Tallinn, where she could study classical Pilates in a fully equipped studio and train on authentic apparatus. Eli has a strong foundation in anatomy on which to build her knowledge. I trust her to teach with care, pay close attention to each client’s needs and continue developing her skills.”
